LET’S BE DOETH OF GOD’S WORD.

Choose to Build your life on the WORD OF GOD. It is the Sword of the Spirit of God

What a wonderful privilege it is to spend time with you in God’s presence and in deep, thoughtful study of His word. we are told that “all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and it profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished in all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

It is my prayer that your study of His word will always be fresh and anointed as you draw closer to our precious Lord Jesus! I know you will enjoy this personal devotional as we explore together chapter-by-chapter study of the bible in our daily walk with the Lord. You’re are Blessed with the Blessing of the Lord as you take a step of faith to open the Bible yourself for reading, studying and meditation.

Luke 6:49: “But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great”.

Hearing God’s word and not doing it is like a person who built his house without a foundation.  Building our lives other than on Jesus is sure to have a great downfall.  On the other hand, if we hear God’s word and build our lives on it, we shall stay strong and secure on the Rock of all ages.

God wants our life to be centered on Him.  To weather every storm that we face in life, our foundation should be strong.  A house built upon a strong foundation or upon a rock of Ages will firmly stand unmovable in every kind of a stormy situation that may come against it.  Nothing can pull a strong house down.  Likewise, anybody whose life is built on Christ will be able to withstand any kind of a torrent, however, high and mighty.  Some people build their lives on their own imaginations, feelings, emotions, culture, education and what the society says in general. Such lives will surely not stand tough times. Feelings will change and so is emotion.

God’s word is the only thing that will not change and has remained the test of time.  His words never change and stand unchangeable.  If you want your life to be blessed and successful, build it on His word, the Holy Bible. God’s promises and His nature never change.  If we allow our lives to be built on God’s principles reveals to us in Holy Scriptures, even if the whole world collapses, we will rise up and be strong.  Let God’s word mold us and change our life to be all that God ordains us to be.  Therefore, hear God’s word and live by it.

LET’S INTENTIONALLY BUILD OUR LIFE ON GOD’S WORD

Many people say they value the Bible. Some people also say they live by the Bible. That’s good and perfect. That’s wonderful thing to do. But is it true? It’s one thing to talk the talk, but are we walking the walk? It’s awesome to pontificate about how important the Bible is to us, but is it really? Is it truly a major priority in our lives? The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 2 tells us to build our entire life on the Word, in the Word, and through the Word. In other words, we are told to be intentional, purposeful, and practical about prioritizing God’s Word which is God’s Wisdom. We are to literally study and apply the teaching of Scripture and make God’s Word the blueprint for how we do life. Proverbs calls that WISDOM and to live any other way is totally foolishness.

“My son, IF you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, THEN you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God” (Proverbs 2:1-5).

True wisdom is found in God’s Word. And the wise person will intentionally build their life on and through the Bible. What is your “Bible consumption” rhythm? Are you pleased with the priority you give to Scripture? Most of us go through waves where we are really dialed in and great students of the Bible and then there are other seasons where, “Well…not so much.”

Take time right now to rightly get into the Holy Scriptures, this is what you and I need to do today. Find a specific time and specific place where you can read, take notes, and purpose to practically apply or live out what you are reading and learning. Be intentional about putting God’s Wisdom to work for you.

Say to yourself from now onward I’m doing a deep dive into the book of Proverbs. I’ve read it many times but this time now I want to go deeper, stay longer, think more carefully than ever about what true wisdom looks like, and then I’m asking God to help me live it out more faithfully than ever before. Pick a plan, find a time, choose a place, and join me in taking God’s Word more seriously than ever before. It is the wise thing to do for our own self as we walk with the Lord Jesus Christ through the pages of life fully live here on earth.
